About This Tea

Wuyi Ba Xian - A Rare Phoenix Oolong Treasure

Cultivated in the misty peaks of Wuyi Mountain, Ba Xian (also known as "Thousand-Mile Fragrance") shares its lineage with the legendary Fenghuang Dancong "Eight Immortals" varietal. First transplanted to Wuyi's mineral-rich soils in the 1990s, this elusive tea remains extraordinarily rare - a testament to how terroir shapes character. Our 2024 inaugural harvest, sourced from wild high-altitude tea gardens, has blossomed into one of our most coveted creations.

Tasting Notes

A silken sweetness greets the palate, unfolding into a luxuriously rounded liquor. The cup reveals an ethereal dance of jasmine and orange blossom aromas, lingering like a mountain breeze through citrus groves. Its pristine aftertaste carries the untamed essence of Wuyi's untouched ecosystems.

Why Collectors Cherish It

• Rarity - Fewer - than 12 acres of Ba Xian exist in Wuyi
• Terroir-Driven - Wild-grown complexity from 800m+ elevation
• Aging Potential - Mineral structure promises graceful maturation

Originally featured in our Yancha Collection as a limited offering, Ba Xian's popularity has compelled us to release this exclusive full-box edition. For connoisseurs seeking oolongs that tell stories with every sip - this is your portal to Wuyi's best-kept secret.

*Tea leaves contain tea polyphenols and caffeine, which are the source of the bitter and astringent flavour of the tea soup, as well as the source of the sweetness. Reducing the amount of tea leaves, lowering the water temperature or speeding up the soup can reduce the bitterness and astringency.
